Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park is a remote atoll reef in the Sulu Sea of the Philippines. This UNESCO World heritage site is a very succesful marine protected area and a hotpsot for sharks. I travelled here with the Large Marine Vertebrate Project to produce a video for Hakai Magazine, the video can be seen in the motion part of this website, these are the images from this shark research trip which ended up being much more then just looking for sharks. For more images search for Tubbataha in our archive.
